Candis Alek, soprano, received her B.F.A. from C.W. Post University in vocal performance. She has toured Europe with festival ensembles as their soloist, and sung for several master classes. Candis has sung at Carnegie Hall, the Cathedral of Notre Dame and studied with notables from The Metropolitan Opera, NYC Opera, Washington Civic Opera, and currently with Myrna Bismarck (Bellas Artes Opera). She has been featured in I’ll Take Romance and other cabarets at the Duplex and The Metropolitan Room in NYC. Previous roles include Princess Puffer in The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Julie in Some Enchanted Evening, Adah in Naughty Marietta and several performances as soloist in Carmina Burana. When not singing, Candis enjoys travelling the world. Everywhere from Easter Island to Alaska, from Hawaii to Prague.
